• The deep-sea lander K/MT 100 is an important means of data collection for deep-sea research, as well as the carrier of research instruments for environment, seabed and benthic organisms, and can be equipped with special-purpose research equipment to cater for customer needs.
• The basic frame is comprised of a video camera system, an open tripod with weights, float units, an acoustic release system and strobe lights for surface positioning.
• In collaboration with Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, the lander K/MT 100 is used for investigation of sediment biology, geochemical changes, and cold springs.
